Post Views on meditation (taking the self defense within)
Meditation is the ultimate way of harnessing the fight or flight mechanism. In my book "Harness the Power Within and Without" I mention this in depth. If more people understood that breath control, and thoughts, are the basis of all functions within the body. Whether you are calm or stressed are all dictated by breath and thought. Imagine the precision we would experience in our life if we could live in a constant state of prayer, meditation, and breath control. Imagine it, anxiety, depression, and other stress related illnesses would decrease dramatically. For nothing would be able to disrupt the peace that you have within you. This is why I titled my book "Harness the Power Within and Without" because battling a physical enemy is easy, however, battling one self is the ultimate battle. As Jesus stated clean the inside of the cup and the outside will be clean. So I say if you deal with what is within, what's without loses power over you. This does not mean that you will not experience sadness, or other emotions. However, if you build yourself properly you will remain aware of, and in touch with the temple within you that has two seats one for you and one for God.

Godspeed everyone,
Sifu

Post A tip for meditation
While meditating I encourage everyone to have a focus either on relaxing, breathing, prayer, or a goal that you would like to achieve, like closeness to God. Never, blot out your mind you must remain in control. Some may disagree however, if you understand the phrase "walk in" you know exactly why I encourage you to remain in control. Never repeat scripted verses over and over this is almost a form of self hypnotism. Which again would place you out of control and vulnerable. Remember, you are seeking to master yourself, to do so you must remain in control.
