This is a sensitive issue for obvious reasons. As fidelity and mongamy are all to often the reason for break ups. It is my view that we should all pursue perfection in love. The bible mentions what love is, and we have all heard or read it. Love is patient, kind, not easily angered, is not rude, never betrays, always protects, etc. I am sure we could add a few more adjectives in there that would apply. Well, when we start a relationship with someone we should consider all of these things that love is. It does not say that love is patient until you gain weight, or kind until you upset me. It does not say love protects until someone prettier comes along. Besides if someone is devoting themselves to us the honorable, loyal, and respectful, (all attributes of love) thing is to do the same.

One main reason is because in our society monogamy, fidelity, trust, family structure, and self restraint do not get glamorized. What gets glamorized is clubbing/night life, swinging, being a player, and promiscuity as seen in "Sex In The City" and "Desperate Housewives". Now, some will be quick to say "everyone has their own mind" and they are exactly right. However, if those people don't think that society has influence on what they think they deserve, what they are willing to tolerate. Whether they think flirting at work is harmless or not. Whether or not they think that being a player is just what men do. They must see that they are grossly misled.
